Historical Photo Of Damaged River Niger Bridge During The Biafran War In 1968

Damages on the Niger river bridge, which Biafrans put out of action during the war, by blowing up the Eastern bank toward the town of Onitsha, in an attempt to halt the Nigerian advance, trapping the Nigerians soldiers on the other side of the river.

After the war, the bridge was rehabilitated. (March 1968)
